Vier generaties | Four generations
Honderd jaar geleden toste Eugene Huids en zijn zus met een muntje om de boerderij van hun ouders. Eugene verloor en bouwde zijn eigen boerderij. In 1924 runde Eugene zijn bedrijf in hoogstam-fruit en koeien. Zijn zoons Harie en Sjra namen het bedrijf hierna over. Later trouwde Sjra met zijn vrouw Finy, zoon Eric werd de opvolger en zette samen met Germaine het bedrijf voort, de derde generatie.
A hundred years ago, Eugene Huids and his sister flipped a coin to decide who would take over their parents' farm. Eugene lost and went on to build his own farm. In 1924, Eugene ran his business growing standard fruit trees and keeping dairy cows. His sons, Harie and Sjra, later took over the farm. Sjra eventually married his wife Finy, and their son Eric took over the farm. Together with Germaine, he continued the family business as the third generation.
De vierde generatie | The fourth generation
In samenwerking met de vierde generatie combineert Fruitbedrijf Huids traditie met moderne innovatie. Voor het eerst betreden autonome voertuigen de plantage, terwijl de eerste 500 druivenstokken zijn geplant en nieuwe technieken het werk slimmer en efficiënter maken.
Tegelijkertijd kijkt de familie verder dan de grenzen van de boomgaard. Er wordt gereisd om nieuwe markten te ontdekken, trends op te snuiven en ideeën op een frisse manier uit te voeren. Durf anders te doen is het motto, en elke stap wordt met nieuwsgierigheid en passie gezet.

In collaboration with the fourth generation, Fruitbedrijf Huids combines tradition with modern innovation. For the first time, autonomous vehicles are exploring the orchard, while the first 500 grapevines have been planted and new techniques make the work smarter and more efficient.
At the same time, the family looks beyond the boundaries of the orchard. They travel to discover new markets, explore trends, and bring fresh ideas to life. Daring to do things differently is their motto, and every step is taken with curiosity and passion.

Our loyal Rottweiler, born in February 2021, keeps a close eye on the farm. Officially a guard dog, but secretly she eats more apples than the average person should. Always nearby, loves an adventure, and a true heart-stealer.
